Federal University Otuoke hosted a dynamic one-day workshop designed to empower teaching staff with the tools and knowledge needed to access TETFUND special interventions at the auditorium of the Postgraduate School on the 23th of January, 2024.

The workshop, organized under the auspices of the Directorate of Academic Planning, saw active participation from Faculty members across diverse departments.

The Director of Academic Planning Professor Ibebietei  Temple Offor spearheaded the event   with the Deputy Director, serving as facilitators. Drawing from their expertise, they navigated participants through the intricacies of Institutional Based Research (IDR), Academic Manuscript Development (AMB), Academic Staff Training and Development (ASTD), and other content-based TETFUND sponsorship.

Professor Teddy Charles Adias, the esteemed Vice-Chancellor, during the workshop, shed light on the significance of such interventions for the University’s growth. During a vibrant Q & A session, he addressed queries, emphasizing the pivotal role TETFUND initiatives play in advancing the institution.

The workshop covered a spectrum of topics, from an in-depth overview of TETFUND special interventions to explanations on the application process, helping participants to hone their skills in crafting competitive proposals aligned with the University’s strategic goals.

The Vice Chancellor Professor Teddy Charles Adias hinted that there are so many un-accessed funds from TETFUND available to teaching staff, encouraging them to utilize such sterling opportunities to broaden their academic frontiers. He further advised members of Faculty to respect their senior colleagues, especially the Professorial cadre, emphasizing that this is sacrosanct for the overall growth and harmony of the academic environment.
