Key Highlights of the Meeting:

Expression of Gratitude: Dr. Jonah thanked His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno, Ph.D, for appointing him Acting Rector, describing the role as a solemn trust that he intends to honor through integrity, diligence, and impactful leadership.

- Reposition Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic as a beacon of excellence, innovation, self-reliance, and national relevance in technical and vocational education.
- Strengthen the Polytechnic’s role in industrial growth, entrepreneurship, and technological advancement.

A.R.I.S.E Agenda Alignment:
- Establish Entrepreneurship Incubation Hubs.
- Enforce mandatory Entrepreneurship Curriculum across all departments.
- Launch business plan competitions with seed funding to foster innovation and student enterprise.

Tribute: The meeting concluded with a minute of silence for the late Head of General Studies Department, Mrs. Ime Etuk, and a vote of thanks by Dr. Unwana Udoette, Dean of School of Applied Sciences.

Attendance: The session saw the participation of the Acting Registrar, Polytechnic Librarian, Bursar, Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, and representatives of ASUP, SANNIP, and NASU, alongside other staff members.
