In its quest to develop young  talents  in tertiary institutions in the state, the  Delta State Government  has solicited the cooperation of the management of the University of Delta Agbor.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Talent Development, Ambassador Ugagaoghene Ogheneyole, who made the disclosure when he led his team on a courtesy visit  said his office has put  modalities in place to harvest talents in UNIDEL, stressing that the exercise would,help to blend the students academics with their God- given talents.

 

The governor's aide said  there was a need for students to key into talent shows as it is the greatest investment.

"We have organized a series of programmes on talent shows, including the 2023 November edition, which produced winners with various prizes." 

 

"We want to collaborate with UNIDEL in order to equip the students with the right sustainable skills that will easily help them transit into the real world after graduation.".

Ambassador Ugagaoghene stated that  the Talent Development Conference would hold in UNIDEL at ta date   approved by the  management of Unidel

The Vice Chancellor of UNIDEL, Prof Stella Chiemeke while commending Ambassador Ugagaoghene and his team for the development of talents ,noted that the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) has added local content to the University curriculum which would play a vital role in harnessing the cultural values of students.

 

Prof. Chiemeke added that the management of UNIDEL would provide a conducive environment for the Talent Development Conference and offer other necessary support.
