The National Association of Nigerian Students in Diaspora (NANS-Diaspora) has voiced significant concern regarding the recent outbreaks of unrest and violence in various regions of England and Northern Ireland.

Comr. Olajesu Osalade, the organization’s Public Relations Officer, strongly condemned the rioting that began on July 30, 2024, in response to the tragic mass stabbing that occurred in Southport on July 29.

"We unequivocally denounce the violent disturbances that have followed these tragic events," Osalade stated. He extended heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families, noting the devastating impact the violence has had on the community.

Comr. Chris Juwon Fayomi, President of NANS-Diaspora, called for peace and mutual understanding, stressing that violence and misinformation only exacerbate divisions within communities.
