Comr. Olajesu Osalade, the organization’s Public Relations Officer, strongly condemned the rioting that began on July 30, 2024, in response to the tragic mass stabbing that occurred in Southport on July 29.
"We unequivocally denounce the violent disturbances that have followed these tragic events," Osalade stated. He extended heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families, noting the devastating impact the violence has had on the community.

NANS-Diaspora has urged Nigerian students in the affected areas to exercise vigilance, stay updated on current events, and avoid regions experiencing unrest. The organization is collaborating with local authorities, Nigerian embassies, and community leaders to ensure the safety of students.
Comr. Chris Juwon Fayomi, President of NANS-Diaspora, called for peace and mutual understanding, stressing that violence and misinformation only exacerbate divisions within communities.
