IMAP Rector Dr. Maifata Urges Parents to Prioritize Religious Knowledge for Children

IMAP Rector Dr. Maifata Urges Parents to Prioritize Religious Knowledge for Children

The Acting Rector of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic (IMAP), Lafia, Dr. Nurudeen Mu'azu Maifata, has called on parents and guardians to prioritize the acquisition of religious knowledge for their children, describing it as one of the greatest legacies a parent can leave behind.

Dr. Maifata made this appeal during the graduation ceremony of 35 students who successfully memorized the Holy Qur'an, held on Sunday in Lafia. Represented by his Special Assistant, Muhammad Muhammad, the Rector expressed his joy at the students' achievement and encouraged them to apply the knowledge to reshape their lives in accordance with Islamic teachings.

He highlighted that empowering children with both Islamic and Western education is critical to fostering an equitable society while addressing avoidable societal challenges.

As part of the ceremony, Dr. Maifata announced a donation of ₦50,000 to enhance the school’s educational resources and facilities, aiming to support current and future students in achieving their aspirations.

The event was graced by traditional, spiritual, and political leaders, alongside family and friends of the graduating students.
