Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic Rector Inspects Institution's Readiness for NBTE Accreditation
In a recent inspection, Dr. Maifata reviewed the level of readiness for over thirty programmes in the institution, which are set to undergo resource inspection and accreditation.
The Acting Rector of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic (IMAP), Lafia, Dr. Nurudeen Mu'azu Maifata, has expressed satisfaction with the institution’s preparedness for the forthcoming re-accreditation by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). In a recent inspection, Dr. Maifata reviewed the level of readiness for over thirty programmes in the institution, which are set to undergo resource inspection and accreditation.
Dr. Maifata commended the staff for their resourcefulness and team spirit, which have been instrumental in ensuring that the Polytechnic is nearly 100% prepared for the NBTE accreditation exercise. He highlighted the importance of the accreditation process in ensuring the quality assurance of the institution’s programmes and expressed optimism that IMAP’s programmes would meet the standards required for full accreditation.
Speaking after a mock exercise held at his office, Dr. Maifata emphasized the critical role of the accreditation process in enhancing the Polytechnic’s academic standing and reputation. He called for continued collaboration among the staff to achieve the desired outcomes and thanked them for their dedication and cooperation thus far.
The mock accreditation exercise was attended by key officials, including the Director of Information, Public Relations and Protocol, Mukhtar Wakeel, Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Ibrahim Dauda, and the Director of Quality Assurance, among others.
