About 100 students from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, recently received free training in photography courtesy of mobile phone manufacturing company itel. The two-day training, held on the university campus, aimed to equip students with the skills to capture and sell high-quality images using their mobile phones.

During the opening session, Mojisola Abdullahi, an official from itel Nigeria, highlighted the importance of empowering students with photography skills. She emphasized that with the right techniques, students could generate income by selling their captured images rather than solely relying on traditional salaried jobs.

Abdullahi explained, "Our two-day campus activities at Obafemi Awolowo University focus on empowering students to maximize the potential of their smartphones in capturing high-quality images. This initiative also serves as an introduction to our new Itel S24 smartphone. We believe that students don't have to wait for conventional employment opportunities to earn money. By mastering photography skills, they can monetize their creativity."

Abdullahi emphasized the potential for students to sell their photographs to peers, faculty members, and other interested parties within the university community.
