JAMB Sets Date for 2024 Cut-off Mark and Admission Policy Meeting

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has scheduled Thursday, July 18th, 2024, for its annual Policy Meeting on Admissions into tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Chaired by the Hon. Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, the meeting will convene key stakeholders from the education sector, including regulatory agencies like the National University Commission (NUC), National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), and the National Council for Colleges of Education (NCCE).

The policy meeting plays a crucial role in setting guidelines for the admission process each academic year, including the formulation of admission policies and minimum standards for tertiary institutions nationwide. It will involve presentations on the outcomes of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) applications, as well as evaluations of candidates' performance metrics.
