Twenty-five students from Ajayi Crowther University found themselves facing the harsh reality of the law as they were arraigned before the Chief Magistrate Court, over alleged involvement in the murder of one of their peers, Alex Timileyin, who was reportedly beaten to death within the confines of the institution.

The incident, which occurred within the Shepherd Inn hostel on the university premises, sent shockwaves through the campus community. Timileyin, a fellow student, met his unfortunate end amidst accusations of theft, sparking a violent confrontation among his classmates.

The news of the arraignment surfaced through the efforts of an activist known as 'Lord of Warri', who hails from the Itsekiri tribe in Delta State. 'Lord of Warri' has been vocal in seeking justice for the deceased, having earlier petitioned Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State to ensure that those responsible for Timileyin's demise faced the full force of the law.
