Kaduna State University Hosts Public Lecture on Bloom’s Taxonomy

Kaduna State University (KASU) recently organized a public lecture on Bloom’s Taxonomy and its relevance to modern teaching philosophy.

The event highlighted the importance of promoting critical thinking and meaningful learning in academic settings.

The lecture emphasized the need for teaching strategies that go beyond rote memorization, focusing on analysis, evaluation, and creativity. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, stressed the value of student empowerment and critical thinking in the learning process.

A virtual presentation by Dr. Ibrahim I. Ali discussed the use of backward design in lesson planning, while the Vice-Chancellor and other senior academics reiterated the significance of emotionally intelligent educators and interactive classrooms.

The event showcased the university’s commitment to pedagogical excellence and featured contributions from MSc Philosophy students and engaging discussions among lecturers and the Vice-Chancellor.
