Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk, FCA, Rector of Kano State Polytechnic, has received an award of excellence from the Kano State Higher Institutions Games Association (KASHIGA).
The award was presented to the Rector on Monday, December 9, 2024, during a thank-you visit by the local organizing committee of the 11th KASHIGA Tournament tagged "Governor's Cup, 2024".
According to the Chairman of KASHIGA, Dr. Abubakar Adamu Karaye, the award recognizes the Rector's significant contributions to the success of the tournament. Dr. Adamu emphasized the importance of organizing such tournaments in boosting students' morale and brotherhood.
The Rector expressed his gratitude for the award, describing it as one of the best. He reaffirmed his commitment to improving sporting activities in the institution, including the establishment of a dedicated unit to manage sporting affairs for both staff and students.
