Kano State Students Urge Governor for Intervention on Registration Fees
The National Association of Kano State Students (NAKSS) at Northwest University Kano has made an urgent appeal to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, requesting his intervention in the recent increase in registration fees at the university.
During his campaign, Governor Yusuf had promised a 50% discount on registration fees for students of public institutions in Kano State. However, the recent fee hike has created significant hardship for students, leading to uncertainty and tension among them and their families.
The students, led by NAKSS President Amb. Khalid Hasan Hudu, have urged the governor to implement the promised discount to ease the financial burden on students and allow them to continue their academic pursuits without interruption. A prompt response from the governor would bring relief to thousands of Kano State students and reaffirm his commitment to the welfare and future of the youth.
