KASU Post-UTME Registration Challenges: Candidates Report Eligibility Issues

Prospective students of Kaduna State University (KASU) are facing registration hurdles for the Post-UTME screening, with some applicants reporting issues related to their eligibility status. A significant number of candidates have expressed frustration over their ineligibility to register, despite recently completing a change of institution and reflecting updated details.

One candidate, Aminat Yusuf, shared her experience: "I just did a change of institution, and it’s already reflected in the system. However, I’m receiving a message saying I’m not eligible to register for the Post-UTME. I haven’t uploaded my WAEC results yet, which might be causing the issue."

Many applicants like Yusuf are finding themselves in similar situations, where despite updating their institution choices, they are being prevented from completing their registration due to pending documentation. The primary issue appears to be the absence of uploaded WAEC results, a crucial requirement for the Post-UTME registration process.

KASU’s admissions office has acknowledged the challenges faced by some candidates and is working to address the situation. In a statement, Dr. Ibrahim Sani, the Director of Admissions, explained, “We understand that some candidates are encountering difficulties with their Post-UTME registration due to incomplete documentation. We urge all applicants to ensure that their WAEC results are uploaded as soon as possible to complete their registration.”

The university’s online registration portal requires candidates to upload their WAEC results before they can be deemed eligible for the screening process. This step is critical as it verifies the candidates' academic qualifications and ensures that all documentation is in order before proceeding with the selection process.
