Kogi State University, Kabba Releases 2024/2025 Academic Calendar

The Registrar of Kogi State University, Kabba, Dr. J.U. Amodu, has announced the institution’s academic calendar for the 2024/2025 session following an emergency Senate meeting held on October 25, 2024. The calendar provides a detailed schedule for both the first and second semesters, outlining key activities, examination dates, and holiday breaks.

First Semester Highlights:

- Registration for returning and newly admitted students begins on 18th November 2024 and ends on 23rd November 2024.

- Lectures for all students start on 25th November 2024, with a Christmas and New Year break scheduled from 22nd December 2024 to 4th January 2025.

- Orientation for new students will take place from 15th to 17th January 2025.

- Continuous Assessment Weeks are set to commence on 27th January 2025.

- First Semester Examinations will run from 7th to 25th April 2025, followed by the consideration of results from 21st to 25th April 2025.

Second Semester Highlights:

- Lectures for the second semester will resume on 21st April 2025.

- Continuous Assessment will occur from 26th to 30th May 2025.

- Second Semester Examinations are scheduled from 11th to 29th August 2025, with results to be considered from 1st to 5th September 2025.

The calendar notes that all national public holidays will be observed. The university community is encouraged to adhere to the outlined schedule to ensure a smooth academic session.
