Kogi State University Lecturer Dr. Lamidi Yusuf Appointed Coordinator for Neglected Tropical Diseases Sensitization

The Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University, Professor K.I.T. Eniola, has welcomed the appointment of Dr. Lamidi Yusuf as Coordinator for the Sensitization on Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) in Kogi State.

 

The appointment, conveyed by the State Director, NTDs Unit of the Kogi State Ministry of Health, Mr. Albert Afolabi, is an initiative of the Parasitology and Public Health Society of Nigeria (PPSN).

Dr. Lamidi, a medical microbiologist and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Science and Computing, will lead a sensitization team that includes Dr. Bonaventure Tienche and Dr. Olubiyo Kehinde, both from Kogi State University.

The Vice Chancellor has charged Dr. Lamidi and his team to uphold the university's culture of excellence in their new engagement, which aligns with the institution's community service mandate.
