Kola-Aderoju Takes Over from Hungbo as Dean, Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences, KolaDaisi University

KolaDaisi University, Ibadan, has announced the appointment of Professor Sekinat Kola-Aderoju, a distinguished Professor of History, as the new Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences (FAMS).

The formal handover ceremony took place on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Faculty Office. The outgoing Dean, Professor Jendele Hungbo, a Professor of Mass Communication who served from October 2023 to September 2025, commended members of the Faculty for their dedication and urged them to extend the same spirit of cooperation and support to his successor. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and continuity in sustaining the Faculty’s progress.

In her remarks, Professor Kola-Aderoju expressed deep appreciation to the University management for the confidence reposed in her. She pledged to uphold the Faculty’s standards and foster greater collaboration among staff and students, promising to build on the solid foundation laid by her predecessor.

According to a circular issued on Thursday, October 9, 2025, and signed by the Registrar, Mr. H.O. Adetu, the appointment of Professor Kola-Aderoju took effect from Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
