KWASU Appoints Dr. Ibrahim Ogirima Salawu as Acting Director of Centre for Politics and Corporate Governance

The Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Professor Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh, has appointed Dr. Ibrahim Ogirima Salawu as the Acting Director of the Centre for Politics and Corporate Governance.

The Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Professor Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh, has appointed Dr. Ibrahim Ogirima Salawu as the Acting Director of the Centre for Politics and Corporate Governance.

The appointment, effective for one year, was confirmed in a letter dated 18th November 2025 and signed by the Registrar.

Dr. Salawu, an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics and Governance, specialises in political institutions, governance, and public policy. He has served as the sub-dean of KWASU’s School of Postgraduate Studies since March 2024.

He earned his Ph.D. from the International Islamic University, Malaysia, in 2016, and holds professional affiliations as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria. He is also a member of the American Political Science Association, the Canadian Political Science Association, and the Nigerian Political Science Association.
