Landmark University hits 20 percent increase in salaries
Landmark University has announced 20 per cent increase in salaries of all categories of its staff.
Landmark University (LMU), Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Council of Kwara State, has announced 20 per cent increase in salaries of all categories of its staff.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO), Olasunkanmi Olajide, disclosed that the approval for the increment was given early November, this year, by the Board of Regents.

He said: “In the wake of receiving approval early in the month of November 2023 from the Chairman, Board of Regents of Landmark University, the management is set to implement a noteworthy 20 per cent salary increase for all faculty and staff members.
“The significant announcement was made by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Kolawole Ajanaku, during the university’s Faculty Fellowship on Friday, December 1, 2023.”
According to him, the board’s decision was received with enthusiasm by the Vice-Chancellor, who described it as a crucial intervention to mitigate the adverse effect of the escalating inflation on the national economy.

The PRO noted “During this announcement, the VC took a moment to express heartfelt gratitude to the Board of Regents, with special acknowledgment to the Chancellor, Dr David Oyedepo, for leading the compassionate decision-making process, as well as the Pro-Chancellor, Mrs Faith Oyedepo.
“The VC recognised the board’s sensitivity to the economic challenges faced globally by the workforce and commended the empathetic stance taken by the board to address such concern.”
Sources disclosed that the salary increment, scheduled to take immediate effect, is anticipated to go beyond mere financial implications. It is also to boost the morale and commitment levels of the faculty and staff.

According to the institution’s spokesman, the gesture is to instil a renewed sense of dedication and enthusiasm in the workforce, aligning seamlessly with the institution’s overarching vision of nurturing and equipping a new generation of leaders, who will make significant strides and contributions in their respective fields.
