LASU Calls Off LASU-Conscience For Not Registering On The Student Campus Group

Lagos State University (LASU) forces the organisers of the symposium on Press Freedom (LASU CONSCIENCE) to call it off because it was not registered as a student group on campus.

The Lagos State University, Ojo,Lagos has forced, LASU CONSCIENCE, the organisers of the symposium on Press Freedom to call it off over flimsy excuses that they were not registered as a student group on campus. We all understand the drill with these university authorities who are appendages of the political class in Nigeria. It is the reason our universities have failed to play their role in national development because they’ve  lost their place as harbingers of positive ideas. 

It is sad and shameful that the  LASU management thought the Student’s Affairs Officer got itself involved in circumventing the exchange of ideas scheduled for tomorrow on their campus. 

During the electioneering period, of the recently concluded national election, the OBAFEMI AWOLOWO University (OAU) Ile-Ife also stopped an event that was to feature me on campus under these suspicious circumstances.
