Lagos State University (LASU) Orientation Program for the newly admitted students speakers urges freshmen to pay more attention to academic and moral teachings as the 2022/2023 Orientation Programme ends.

Speakers at the Day-2 of the 2022/2023 Orientation Program for the newly admitted students have urged them to pay more attention to academic and moral teachings in their academic journey at the university.

They also requested the freshmen to follow the rules and regulations, registration procedures,  documentations, examinations grades, other extra curricular activities, and, also be good ambassadors of the university.

The very colorful, educative and fun-filled two days orientation programme which commenced on Tuesday, 6th June 2023 and concluded on Wednesday, 7th June 2023 at the Buba Marwa Auditorium, Ojo Campus, Lagos, had in attendance seasoned facilitators; Deputy Registrar, Examinations and Records Division, Mrs. A. Meruwoma who spoke on "Types, Uses and Management of Academic Records",  Acting Director, Centre for Response and Prevention of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (CRPSGBV), Dr. Igot B. Ofem delivered her paper titled *"Prevention of Gender Based Violence in the University",  Dr. Lateefat Yahya, an Associate Prof., Faculty of Education, educated the students on "Determination of Academic Standing - Calculation of CGPA",  Principal Assistant Registrar/Coordinator, Centre for Information and Public Relations (CIPR), Mrs. O. A. Thomas-Onashile, spoke extensively on "lEffective Communication in the University Environment: Students' role in  University Branding"

Other facilitators include; the 33rd LASUSU President, Com. Abdul-Rahman Oreoluwa Agoro who presented: "Moral and Ethical Standards: Expectations of LASU students",  Director, Sports Council, Dr. Segun Olawunmi delivered his paper on; "Sporting Activities and Facilities in the University" and the Deputy Registrar, Students' Affairs Division , Mrs. Z. F. Ashiru-Mobolaji spoke on "Students Support System in the University"

The Dean, Students' Affairs Division, Prof. Tajudeen Olumoko congratulated the successful students and reminded them of the essence of their admissions.
