LASU Senate Elects New Deputy Vice-Chancellor

The Senate of Lagos State University (LASU) has elected Professor Oluwatoyin Ayokunle Enikuomehin as the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration).

The election was held on October 7, 2025, with Professor Enikuomehin securing 206 votes against his opponent, Professor Ishmael Omah, who garnered 4 votes.

Professor Enikuomehin is a distinguished academic, researcher, and technology leader with expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation, and ICT Policy Development. He is currently the Director of the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) at LASU.

The new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration)-elect is expected to resume office on October 12, 2025, and will succeed Professor Adenike Omotunde Boyo, whose tenure ends on October 11, 2025. The election is subject to ratification by the University's Governing Council.
