LASU Students Win ASISA UNILAG Essay Competition

Two students from Lagos State University's Insurance Department, Oyeleye Oreoluwa and Musa Suliat, excelled in the ASISA UNILAG essay competition titled "The Nexus of Trust and Understanding: Exploring the Importance of Transparency and Clarity in Insurance Policies."

 Lagos State University's Insurance Department celebrated a remarkable achievement as two of its students, Oyeleye Oreoluwa and Musa Suliat, emerged winners in the ASISA UNILAG essay competition. The competition, themed "The Nexus of Trust and Understanding: Exploring the Importance of Transparency and Clarity in Insurance Policies," concluded with an award ceremony held recently.

Oyeleye Oreoluwa, who serves as the 25th Vice President of the Insurance Department, clinched the first-place position, earning a prestigious cash prize of ₦100,000. Musa Suliat, a 300-level student, secured third place and was awarded ₦25,000 for her outstanding contribution to the essay contest.

The award ceremony was graced by esteemed personalities, including Mrs. Adeolu Adewunmi, Managing Director of ZEH Consulting Africa; Mrs. Funmi Ogunbiyi, Head of Technicals at Stanbic IBTC Insurance; and special guest Dr. Adenipekun Harmony, a renowned celebrity influencer and speaker known as Harmony.

Both Oreoluwa and Suliat's essays were recognized for their insightful perspectives on enhancing transparency and clarity in insurance policies, resonating with the competition's theme.
