LASUCOM Provost Prof. Abiodun Adewuya Acquires 4 Brand New Vehicles for College of Medicine, the presentation by Prof. Abiodun Adewuya highlighted the importance of having reliable, efficient vehicles that can transport staff, and meet specific needs and requirements. The recipients of the new set of Toyota Corolla vehicles were Heads of the Surgery, Allied Health Sciences and Pathology & Forensic Medicine Departments. PROVOST, Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM), PROF. ADEWUYA HANDS OVER 4 NEW FLEET OF OFFICIAL VEHICLES.

The Provost, Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM), Prof. Abiodun Adewuya on Wednesday, 29th March 2023, presented three Heads of Departments in the College with new official vehicles. The presentation took place in the presence of other College executives. 

The brief ceremony, which held in front of the TETFUND Building was part of the sustained effort to improve the welfare and working conditions of members of staff in the College.

The provost, in his speech, gave an overview of the institution's transportation needs, highlighted the importance of having reliable, efficient vehicles that can transport staff, and meet specific needs and requirements. The recipients of the new set of Toyota Corolla vehicles were Heads of the Surgery, Allied Health Sciences and Pathology & Forensic Medicine Departments. A Toyota Hiace Bus presented to the Office of the Provost.

The Head of the College Transport Unit, Mr. Semao Adedeji, whilst speaking with the Information Unit after the ceremony, expressed his delight with the positive reaction to the presentation. He stated that the Unit always looks forward to providing new vehicles to staff. His words “In a situation like this, it makes our job much easier in terms of maintenance and repairs which in turn saves the College from huge cost implications that might be unavoidable in the long run” he said.

Following the presentation, the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the management team of the College for ensuring that staff have the tools they need to do their jobs and perform optimally.
