LAUTECH Alumni Association Inaugurates 5th Global Executives, Pledges Support for Alma Mater

The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Alumni Association has officially inaugurated its 5th global executives, led by Engr Lekan Badmus, a former Commissioner for Special Duties and Rural Integration in Osun State. The inauguration ceremony, held at the institution's Council Chamber, featured the presence of the acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Olatunde Kalilu, represented by Prof. Tunde Ogunkunle, the Dean of the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences.

Professor Olatunde Kalilu commended the crucial role played by LAUTECH alumni in the university's progress, acknowledging the proactive approach of the immediate past global president, Hon. Solomon Onilede. He urged the newly inaugurated president, Engr Lekan Badmus, to continue the positive trajectory, projecting the association's image and contributing meaningfully to the development of the alma mater.

Engr Lekan Badmus, in his address, pledged to foster unity, innovation, and progress within the global alumni network. He called on the university management to consider reopening the fees payment portal for undergraduates, considering the challenging economic situation in the country. Badmus also announced the alumni's commitment to sponsor the educational expenses of deserving students for the current session, alleviating the financial burden on students.
