LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, in partnership with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), has inducted 320 newly qualified nurses and midwives at a ceremony held earlier today.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, underscored the fast-evolving nature of healthcare and advised the inductees to commit to lifelong learning. He encouraged them to embrace emerging technologies, pursue research-driven practice, and cultivate a culture of inquiry. Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Innovations), Professor Dauda Araromi, he stressed that new professionals must consistently ask the right questions to improve their competence.

Professor Kalilu highlighted that leadership in nursing extends beyond official titles, noting that true leadership is demonstrated through compassion, safety, innovation, and integrity. He added that LAUTECH remains dedicated to producing practitioners who are technically grounded, emotionally intelligent, socially responsive, and globally competitive.

The Acting Registrar of NMCN, Alhaji Al-Hassan Indagi, represented by Mrs. Patricia Anunobi, congratulated the inductees and affirmed that their accomplishments reflect hard work and discipline.
