MAAUN Partners with HF360 for Cancer Research and Awareness Campaign

Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Healthcare Facilities 360 Services Limited (HF360) to enhance cancer research and awareness initiatives in Kano and across Nigeria. The MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr, representing MAAUN, and Mrs. Daula Mohammed, General Manager of Administrative Services at HF360.
This partnership aims to facilitate collaborative research on cancer prevalence, treatment effectiveness, and prevention strategies. Additionally, it will enable MAAUN to conduct advocacy programs focused on cancer awareness for medical professionals, students, and the broader community.
Students from MAAUN will also have the opportunity to intern at the Kano Cancer Treatment Centre, gaining valuable practical experience. Prof. Israr emphasized that this collaboration will significantly enhance cancer research efforts in Kano State and Nigeria.
Mrs. Daula Mohammed expressed her gratitude to MAAUN's founder, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, for his role in facilitating the MoU. Dr. Habib Awais Abubakar, Vice President of Administration, highlighted the importance of raising cancer awareness, particularly in rural areas where awareness is limited. He commended HF360 for their partnership, calling the MoU a pivotal step towards achieving common goals.
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from both MAAUN and HF360.
