"Maduka University Graduates Will Be Job Creators, Not Seekers" – Vice Chancellor
Prof. Charles Ogbulogo, Vice-Chancellor of Maduka University, announced the university’s goal to produce job creators rather than job seekers. Following facility inspections at JOFRAN Global Concept Ltd. and G-Techno Interleague Nig Ltd., Ogbulogo revealed plans to sign an MoU with these companies to enhance entrepreneurship training. Both companies, specializing in bee farming and machine fabrication, expressed eagerness to collaborate with the university.
Prof. Charles Ogbulogo, Vice-Chancellor of Maduka University, Ekwegbe-Nsukka, Enugu State, has outlined the institution's commitment to producing graduates who will be job creators rather than job seekers. Speaking in Nsukka after inspecting facilities at JOFRAN Global Concept Ltd. and G-Techno Interleague Nig Ltd., Ogbulogo highlighted the university's focus on entrepreneurship.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed satisfaction with the facilities at both companies, revealing that Maduka University plans to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with them to enhance its entrepreneurship training. “Our vision is to ensure that every graduate acquires at least two vocational skills by graduation, which will enable them to become self-reliant and create jobs,” Ogbulogo said. He emphasized the university’s goal of integrating similar facilities to foster entrepreneurial skills among students.
Chief Ifeanyichukwu Okpo, Managing Director of JOFRAN Global Concept Ltd. and Director of the Centre for Agriculture at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, welcomed the partnership. His company, specializing in bee farming and honey production, meets international standards and supplies major hotels and international exhibitions.
Mr. Peter Onyeke, Managing Director of G-Techno Interleague Nig Ltd., also shared insights into his company’s operations. G-Techno focuses on machine fabrication and processing of agro-foods, vegetables, and spices. Onyeke, who also owns Onward Secondary School Nsukka, expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with Maduka University to foster job creation among graduates.
The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by Dr. Dan Ochi, Vice President (Business Development) of the Nsukka Chambers of Commerce and Industry, during the facility inspections.
