The event aims to provide critical insights into the country’s evolving role in promoting stability across Africa and beyond.
The lecture, scheduled for Monday, 20th April 2026, at 2:00 PM, will take place at the Stephen & Hannah Obaro Multi-Purpose Hall, with guests advised to be seated by 1:30 PM.
Professor Kenneth Chukwuemeka Nwoko will deliver the lecture, titled “Nigeria’s Peacekeeping and Regional Security Engagements since 1960: Balancing National Interests and International Commitments.”
The Vice-Chancellor, Francis Adegbaye Igbasan, has extended invitations to scholars, security practitioners, students, policymakers, and members of the public to participate in the event, emphasizing the lecture’s importance in fostering informed discussions on Nigeria’s strategic role in global peace and regional security initiatives.
