FUTES-Iyin Announces Academic Calendar Adjustments for Eid and Easter Breaks

The Management of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti (FUTES-IYIN), has officially adjusted its academic calendar in anticipation of the upcoming Ramadan Eid and Easter public holidays.

In a formal circular issued by the Registrar, Oluwole Olalere Dada, the university outlined a revised schedule to ensure a smooth transition between the holiday periods and the commencement of first-semester examinations.

To accommodate the festive breaks while maintaining academic standards, the following dates have been approved:

End of Lectures: All academic lectures for the current semester are scheduled to conclude on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

Revision Period: Students will have a dedicated revision window commencing on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

Examination Commencement: The First Semester Examination is officially set to begin on Monday, April 13, 2026.

The university will observe the following national holidays:

Ramadan Eid (Eid-el-Fitr): Following the Federal Government's declaration of Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, 2026, as public holidays, staff and students are expected to resume official duties on Monday, March 23, 2026.

Easter Break: The institution will also observe the Easter holidays on Friday, April 3, and Monday, April 6, 2026.

The Registrar has enjoined all lecturers to take note of these adjustments and recalibrate their lecture schedules accordingly. Similarly, students are advised to align their personal study plans with the new dates to ensure adequate preparation for the upcoming examinations.

This proactive adjustment by FUTES-Iyin underscores the management's commitment to balancing the welfare of the university community with the rigorous demands of the academic calendar.
