Miva Open University has announced the appointment of Dr. Obadare Peter Adewale as its first Professor of Practice in Cybersecurity, marking a significant milestone as he becomes the first individual to hold such a position in Nigeria.
Dr. Obadare, a distinguished digital trust leader and cybersecurity strategist, received his appointment letter on July 1, 2024, signed by the University’s Registrar, Iheanyi Akwitti. The role of Professor of Practice is a prestigious title awarded to individuals with an exceptional professional track record and recognized standing in their field.

This new role allows Dr. Obadare to bridge the gap between academia and industry by drawing on his extensive experience.
