The University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, is set to host a two-day workshop organized by the Public Health Department in collaboration with the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Delta State Branch.
The event, scheduled for November 21-22, 2024, will take place at the 1,000 Capacity Hall on the university’s main campus.
The workshop, themed "Breaking the Silence: Addressing Stress in High-Pressure Environments as a Critical Public Health Issue," aims to equip participants with knowledge on managing stress in professional and academic settings.
Program Highlights:
Day 1:
Orientation and Career Talk on Public Health Career Prospects.
Day 2:
Lecture 1: Breaking the Silence: Addressing Stress in High-Pressure Environments as a Critical Public Health Issue, delivered by Dr. Mrs. Onyi Owa-Nwabuzor, MWAN President-Elect, Delta State Branch.
Lecture 2: Management of Stress Through Healthy Living, delivered by Dr. Solomon O. Okoro.
The event will be hosted by the Vice Chancellor of UNIDEL, Prof. Mrs. S. C. Chiemeke, and feature key facilitators, including Prof. John Igweh and Dr. Mrs. Ewere Rosemary Megbebu.
Sponsored by Hillary Obiora Ibegbulem (PhD), the workshop will offer Public Health students and professionals actionable insights into stress management and career growth.
