Miva University Introduces Scholarship For Students With Excellent UTME Result
In an effort to alleviate the financial burden on academically excellent students from low-income backgrounds, Miva University has unveiled the Miva Excellence Scholarship via social media, providing full tuition grants to 20 outstanding candidates who have scored above 300 in the JAMB UTME.

Miva University, Abuja, and its Vice-Chancellor, Sim Shagaya, announce the Miva Excellence Scholarship for Nigerian students. Miva University is a private online university in Nigeria offering courses in Business and Technology, licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for distance learning.

Citing the economic condition of the country as a major barrier faced by many families which woulld automatically hinder their knowledge acquisition, Mr Shaagaya explained that the scholarship would cater to students from low income background. “The tough economy can mean that students who are qualified cannot afford a place in university. Miva University seeks to help by creating the Miva Excellence Scholarship,” Mr. Shagaya.
The Vice-Chancellor emphasized additional eligibility requirements for the Excellence Scholarship, including having a minimum of 5 O'level credits, including Mathematics and English Language, and receiving an offer of admission to study at Miva Open University. They also disclosed that the application for the scholarship closes on May 31.

This prestigious scholarship recognizes and supports the academic achievements and potential of 20 outstanding students who demonstrate exceptional merit and dedication to their studies but are limited by finances. This scholarship will last through the duration of their study.
