The assurance came during a courtesy visit led by the chapter President, Dr. Nkiruka Bridget Uche-Nwidagu, who described the engagement with the Chief Medical Director of DUFUTH, Prof. Uzoma Agwu, as both professional and personally significant.
Dr. Uche-Nwidagu praised Prof. Agwu’s leadership style, describing it as consistent, impactful, and growth-driven. She noted that her administration has strengthened institutional systems while also promoting innovation, diligence, and excellence within the healthcare environment.
She further stated that MWAN views Prof. Agwu not only as a professional colleague but also as a mentor whose leadership continues to inspire women across the medical field.
Receiving the delegation, Prof. Agwu—who also serves as MWAN National President-Elect—expressed appreciation for the association’s support during her election process and ongoing professional engagements.

She described MWAN members as partners in advancing women’s health, adding that their shared mission goes beyond professional alignment to a deeper commitment to compassionate care delivery.
According to her, the hospital will deepen collaboration with MWAN through expanded outreach programmes, with particular emphasis on surgical interventions and emerging approaches that integrate natural and environmental therapies to support patient recovery and mental wellbeing.
She reaffirmed that DUFUTH remains committed to building stronger professional networks that enhance healthcare delivery and expand access to quality medical services.
In a vote of thanks, Dr. Chimsindi Muoneke appreciated the management of DUFUTH for the warm reception and called for sustained partnership between the hospital and MWAN at both state and national levels.

The meeting concluded with renewed commitments from both sides to strengthen collaboration in advancing women’s health, professional development, and community outreach programmes.
