NACJ-UDUS Sets to Hold Last Congress for First Semester

The National Association of Campus Journalists (NACJ) of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) is set to hold its last Campus Journalists’ Congress or CJC for the first semester of 2023/2024 academic session.

According to the information contained in a flyer released by the association, the congress is scheduled for Sunday, May 12, 2024, at A134 lecture hall in FAIS building by 11am prompt.

  

The CJC is where all the registered campus journalists in the university come together for decision making, sharing ideas and knowledge. It's usually an educational gathering that fosters the motto of NACJ, UDUS which is: Journalism is Knowledge.

During an interview with the incumbent president of NACJ, Hussain Wahab Kehinde, a final year student of Law, highlighted the significance of CJC. “The forthcoming last congress will provide an opportunity to say goodbye for the semester, and also reminds ourselves of the excess of writing while continuing training during the holidays,” he encouraged.

Moreover, the president added, “At the congress, we will be able to recount some of what we have done in the past, the progress, achievement and improvement of the association.”

“Each member should have it in mind that  attendance is very important as far as NACJ UDUS is concerned, especially the last congress meeting,” he asserted.
