NANS Kogi State to Host 3-Day Student Security Summit Addressing Campus Safety Issues
The Kogi State Student Security Summit will focus on combating cultism, substance abuse, and cybercrimes among students.
To support Kogi State Governor Alhaji Usman Ododo's initiatives in protecting the lives and livelihoods of students, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Kogi State, under the leadership of Comr. Gomina Ahmad Kabir, has announced a 3-Day Kogi State Student Security Summit.
Theme: Campus Safety and Security: Tackling the Triple Threat of Cultism, Substance Abuse, and Cybercrimes
This summit promises to be a landmark event, providing an essential platform for students, educators, and stakeholders to engage in meaningful conversations about campus safety. Participants will have the opportunity to attend discussions and strategy sessions led by renowned experts in security and law enforcement, including prominent guest speaker Gomina OnoruOiyza Kabir.
The summit comes at a critical time, as challenges such as cult-related violence, increasing substance abuse, and the rising threat of cybercrimes pose significant risks to educational institutions. Recent incidents have underscored the urgent need for decisive action to address these threats.
