The vice-chancellor of Nasarawa University has applauded the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for its unrelenting service in empowering young Nigerians.

The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Professor Saadatu Hassan Liman, has commended the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for its unwavering commitment to empowering Corps Members with vocational skills, fostering self-reliance.

During a courtesy visit to the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General YD Ahmed, Professor Liman expressed gratitude for the NYSC's significant contributions to the university. She also praised General Ahmed for his transformative leadership since assuming office as the Director General.

Notably, in 2023, Nasarawa State University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the NYSC on Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development. Professor Liman, the team leader from the University that signed the Memorandum of Understanding reaffirmed the institution's readiness to strengthen collaboration with the Scheme.

In response, Brigadier General YD Ahmed congratulated the Vice-Chancellor on her appointment and assured continued partnership between the NYSC and Nasarawa State University for mutual benefit.
