NBTE Approves Standard Completion Certificate for Industrial Training for ND Graduates

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has approved a uniform "Completion Certificate: Mandatory Industrial Training for ND Graduates" for use by all polytechnics and monotechnics in Nigeria. This new certificate will serve as a requirement for admission into Higher National Diploma (HND) programs and for mobilization into the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

The NBTE, led by Executive Secretary Prof. Idris M. Bugaje, conveyed this directive in a circular dated October 29, 2024, to all Rectors and Provosts of polytechnics and monotechnics. Institutions under NBTE’s purview are mandated to implement this standard certificate for ND graduates who have completed their mandatory industrial training.

The new completion certificate is expected to streamline the process for ND graduates, ensuring they meet requirements for further studies and national service.
