The situation escalated further with the revelation that police have issued notices to nine additional students suspected of involvement in the scandal. According to Manavjit Singh Dhillon, a senior police official cited by the Times of India, a total of 13 individuals are accused of leaking the question paper to 30 candidates from a "safe house" just a day before the exam, allegedly in exchange for significant sums of money.
In a series of coordinated operations, authorities have arrested individuals across multiple states implicated in the cheating scheme. Three arrests were made in Delhi and six in Rajasthan for allegedly impersonating NEET candidates during the exam. Additionally, in Gujarat state, five individuals were apprehended for their alleged roles in a cheating plot at an exam center in Godhra.
