The Nigerian Educational Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced plans to disburse a sum of N850 million to institutions as fees today,July 31,2024. This additional disbursement comes on the heels of the over N1.7 billion already disbursed to approximately 20,000 students.

The Nigerian Educational Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced plans to disburse a sum of N850 million to institutions as fees today,July 31,2024.
This latest allocation is in addition to the over N1.7 billion already distributed to approximately 20,000 students. This development was disclosed by the fund’s Managing Director, Akintunde Sawyer, during a press briefing in Abuja.

Sawyer stated,“The sum of N850M will be leaving the account of NELFUND Today to institutions.This is apart from the N1.7Bn naira that has already been disbursed.”
This additional disbursement comes on the heels of the over N1.7 billion already disbursed to approximately 20,000 students. Sawyer also revealed that a total of 260,000 loans, encompassing both institutional fees and upkeep, have been approved.
