The warning comes as NELFUND continues to provide financial support to qualified Nigerian students. Established under the Student Loans (Access to Higher Education) Act, 2024, NELFUND aims to address the shortcomings of the previous Student Loan Act of 2023.

Students are advised to be cautious when applying for loans and only use the official NELFUND portal to avoid falling victim to scams.
