Newgate College of Health Technology Celebrates 10th Anniversary with 9th Convocation Ceremony

Newgate College of Health Technology, Minna celebrated a decade of academic excellence on September 14, 2024, with its 9th convocation ceremony. The milestone event saw the graduation of over 600 students from 10 Higher National Diploma (HND) and National Diploma (ND) programs.

The ceremony was notably marked by the presentation of scholarships by the College’s founder, Mall. Hassan Nuhu. Scholarships were awarded to the top graduating students from each of the 10 departments, recognizing their academic prowess. In a grand gesture, the overall best graduating student received a scholarship to any university in Nigeria.

Mall. Hassan Nuhu expressed his pride in the graduates, stating, “We are proud of our graduates and their achievements. As we celebrate this milestone, we reaffirm our dedication to shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.”

The 9th convocation concluded a week-long celebration of the College’s 10th anniversary. Established as the first privately-owned monotechnic in Niger State, Newgate College is also the only accredited institution in the state that posts its HND students for the Mandatory National Youth Service Corps.
