Newly Recruited AFUED Academic Staff Advised on Ethics Compliance

The Vice-Chancellor of Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED), Ondo, Prof. Bayode Isaiah Popoola, has emphasized the importance of adhering to the ethics of the teaching profession for newly employed academic staff.

This advice was given during an orientation program organized by the Academic Staff Transition Committee (ASTC) AFUED Chapter.

Prof. Popoola stressed that abiding by the ethics guiding the teaching profession is crucial for a successful career in the institution. He urged the new staff to familiarize themselves with the rules and regulations governing the profession to avoid running foul of the law.

The orientation program featured papers on various topics, including career progress, research, and publication, as well as general conduct and teaching effectiveness. The event aimed to equip the new staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their roles ¹.

The ASTC Chairman, Comrade (Dr.) Ajisafe O.E., expressed appreciation to the university management for providing an enabling environment and necessary support. He stated that the union would continue to contribute to the institution's development.

The event was attended by eminent personalities, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ireti Folasade Alao, and members of the ASTC AFUED Chapter.
