Governor Mohammed Umar Bago, known as the Farmer Governor, revealed that the Niger State government has secured ₦15 billion for the construction of essential infrastructure at Abdulkadir Kure University Minna (AKUM). This funding is earmarked for the development of hostels and a new senate building, significantly enhancing the university's facilities for its growing student population.

During a recent event, Governor Bago also stated that an additional ₦500 million will be allocated to support the establishment of six new faculties at the university. This investment aims to broaden academic offerings and increase educational opportunities for students in the region, aligning with the state's commitment to fostering higher education.

Governor Bago expressed his determination to improve educational standards and infrastructure in Niger State, emphasizing the importance of creating a conducive learning environment. He stated, "By investing in Abdulkadir Kure University, we are laying the foundation for a brighter future for our students and the community."
