The Nigerian Senate has moved forward with a bill aimed at establishing the Federal University of Agriculture and Entrepreneurship in Bama, Borno State, in northeastern Nigeria.
Sponsored by Senator Shehu Lawan Kaka of Borno Central Senatorial District, the bill aims to harness the agricultural potentials of the region and equip students with both academic degrees and practical skills for self-employment.

Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, presiding over the session, commended Senator Kaka for addressing the aspirations of the North East zone with the bill. The Senate passed the bill for a second reading and referred it to the Committee on Tertiary Institution and TETfund for further consideration.
