NIPR Borno State Chapter Pays Advocacy Visit to BOSU Vice-Chancellor

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Borno State Chapter, has paid an advocacy and familiarisation visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Borno State University (BOSU), Professor Babagana Gutti.

Leading the delegation, the Chairman of the Chapter, Umar Mohammed Tijani, said the visit was to congratulate the Vice-Chancellor on his appointment as the second substantive Vice-Chancellor of the university and to familiarise the institute with the academic community. He said the Borno State Chapter of NIPR was revived earlier this year, and the visit marks its first advocacy engagement.

“Vice-Chancellor Sir, it is widely acknowledged across the state that you have repositioned BOSU, particularly through your commitment to digital transformation, which has placed the institution on a strong and progressive footing,” Tijani stated.

He also informed the Vice-Chancellor that NIPR would host its National Conference Week in Kaduna early next year and appealed for the university’s assistance with buses to convey delegates to the event.

In his response, Professor Babagana Gutti warmly welcomed the delegation, expressing delight at seeing some of his staff among the visitors. He used the forum to congratulate the newly appointed General Manager of Borno Radio Television (BRTV) Ali Maman Shuwa who was part of the delegation.
