Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, is inviting applications for the position of Vice-Chancellor. This internal/external advertisement seeks a qualified candidate to lead the university as its Chief Executive Officer, effective June 2024.

About the University:

Nnamdi Azikiwe University, established in 1991, aims to provide high-quality education and research with a commitment to practical application for societal benefit. 

Responsibilities:

- Act as the Chief Executive Officer of the University.

- Oversee financial management, facilities, administration, and academic programmes.

Candidate Requirements:

- Distinguished Professor with at least 15 years of experience in relevant fields.

- PhD holder with a proven track record in securing substantial research funding and supervising postgraduate research.

- At least 10 years of service within the academic community and the ability to serve a full four-year term.

- Strong communication, technological, and management skills.

Application Procedure:

- Submit 25 copies of the application and Curriculum Vitae, including details of marital status, academic achievements, publications, and honors.

- Provide 25 copies of a vision and mission statement for the university.

- Include a signed and dated letter of consent if nominated by the Search Team.

- Provide names and addresses of three referees who will send confidential reports directly to the Registrar.

Applications must be sent in sealed envelopes marked "POSITION OF VICE-CHANCELLOR" and received by 4:00 PM, six weeks from the date of this advertisement.
