Nnamdi Azikiwe University VC Tours Facilities, Announces Reforms
The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, has committed to addressing long-standing challenges affecting campus facilities.
The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, has committed to addressing long-standing challenges affecting campus facilities.

On Thursday, November 27, 2025, Prof. Anyaehie toured several key sites, including the Early Childhood and Primary Education Department, the University Water Factory, the UNIZIK Football Pitch, the Nnamdi Azikiwe University High School, and the Records Unit of the Registry Department.
During the tour, he assessed conditions, engaged staff and students on concerns, and issued directives for immediate corrective action. At the non-functional University Water Factory, he set a target to restore operations by 3:00 p.m. the same day.
Prof. Anyaehie also established a committee to tackle challenges at the University High School, such as classroom shortages, inadequate remuneration, and deteriorating infrastructure. Additionally, he promised to implement transcript automation and an efficient feedback system at the Records Unit to reduce processing delays.

The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by the University Registrar, Dr. Chinenye Gloria Okeke, and other senior officials during the inspection.
