Northwest University Kano Launches Alumni Association
Northwest University Kano has officially launched its Alumni Association in a grand ceremony held at the Professor Hafiz Abubakar Auditorium, City Campus. The event marked a new chapter in the institution's commitment to strengthening its community and legacy.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa, emphasized that the Alumni Association will serve as a driving force for mentorship, philanthropy, professional development, and institutional advancement. He presented Awards of Excellence to notable personalities, including former Vice Chancellor Professor Mustapha Ahmad Isah, for their pioneering efforts and dedication.
A lecture titled "Leadership, Unity, and Growth: The Tripod for a Vibrant Alumni Association" was delivered by Professor Aliyu Baba Nabegu, highlighting the critical role alumni associations play in encouraging sustainable development.
The newly appointed caretaker committee, led by Abbah Salisu Muhammad, was inaugurated to oversee the affairs of the Alumni Association. The event concluded with a call to former students to contribute actively to the university's growth.
The launch marks a strategic step forward in encouraging a lifelong relationship between the university and its graduates, as Northwest University Kano continues to build a legacy of excellence, unity, and impactful engagement.
