Northwest University Sokoto Receives Accreditation to Commence Nursing Program

The Nursing Council of Nigeria (NCN) has granted accreditation to Northwest University Sokoto (NWUS) to commence its Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

This follows a successful assessment by the NCN accreditation team, led by Registrar Dr. Faruk Abubakar, who expressed satisfaction with the university's preparedness to establish a robust nursing department.

The accreditation team commended NWUS for its comprehensive training manuals, well-defined curriculum, and adherence to the provisions outlined in its establishment law. The university's essential laboratories for nursing and midwifery practice also met the NCN's standards.
