NOUN Bauchi Alumni Welcomes New Graduates with Notebook Donation, Plans Advocacy Tour

The Bauchi State Chapter of the National Open University of Nigeria Alumni Association (NOUNAA) has donated over 100 notebooks to new graduates across the state’s study centres to commemorate the 2026 Convocation Ceremony.

Presenting the items, the Chapter Chairman, Comrade Muktar Muhammad Mahmud, stated that the gesture serves as a formal welcome to integrate the new alumni into the association’s activities. He noted that the donation is part of a broader strategy to foster a sense of belonging among the latest cohort of graduates.

Beyond the donation, Comrade Muktar announced that the chapter is set to launch a sensitisation tour across various communities and organisations. The initiative aims to highlight the unique advantages of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), focusing on its academic flexibility and the quality of its degree programmes compared to conventional institutions.

Receiving the donation, the Director of the Bauchi State Study Centre, Dr. Madu Baba Galadima, praised the newly elected alumni executives for their proactive leadership. He described the proposed advocacy tour as a timely intervention and pledged the centre’s full support in promoting the university’s mission.

This outreach marks a significant step in strengthening the bond between the institution and its graduates while driving grassroots enrollment through alumni-led advocacy.
